A new episode of Concentré de sciences** dedicated to the ANR GECO*** project, led by Francesca Calore, CNRS researcher at the Annecy-le-Vieux Laboratory of Theoretical Physics.
Its goal is to determine whether the gamma-ray emission sources measured in the center of our galaxy come from an unknown population of compact objects or whether it is a signal of dark matter. This gamma-ray excess is one of the most important enigmas for physicists, because it challenges established theoretical models.
In this video, Francesca and Silvia Manconi, Marie Skłodowska-Curie postdoctoral fellow, tell us about this multidisciplinary project and the results obtained.
