Seminars

The list of all LAPTh seminars, past and upcoming, including joint seminars with LAPP (Laboratory for Experimental Physics), is available on Indico (the website where you can access a copy of the presentations). Seminars are generally held on Thursdays at 11:00 AM.

We also organize non-specialized seminars on general physics; these usually take place on Fridays at 2 p.m.

Practical aspects

Speakers should contact the seminar organizers, Azadeh MORADINEZHAD and Laurent GALLOT, by sending them a message to this address. Please provide a title and a brief summary.

Once you have delivered your seminar, please send a pdf copy of your presentation to this address.

For our regular seminars, please note that the audience represents the full range of LAPTh activities. Therefore, an effort must be made for at least the first 20 minutes so that most people can benefit.

We also want a pre-seminar discussion with our students to allow them to approach the seminar with more tools to follow it. This is an informal, twenty-minute discussion on the whiteboard before the seminar, presenting the general context and requiring no preparation.
