SUMMARY:Entanglement and quantum phase transitions : An introduction
DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Gilles Parez\nAs you may know\, my research interests lie at the intersection of integrable systems and quantum information. This JC will be the occasion for me to give a *literal* introduction to the latter. \nMany papers (and grant proposal) about quantum information and quantum entanglement in many-body systems contain a version of the following sentence in their introduction:\n“It is very efficient to use quantities originally defined in the context of quantum information\, such as entanglement measures\, to detect and characterize quantum phase transitions in many-body systems. ” \nIn this JC\, I will explain the meaning of this sentence\, assuming no knowledge on quantum entanglement\, by reviewing relevant seminal papers\, and discuss some new exciting results in the field.\nhttps://indico.in2p3.fr/event/34012/

SUMMARY:Philippe Brax - Axio-dilaton screened cosmology
DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Philippe Brax (CEA)\n.\nAbstract: I will review the problems caused by light scalar fields in particular with respect to gravitational tests and consider a new type of screening mechanism which allows to evade them. This involves two fields\, an axion-like field and a dilaton\, for which I will also present new results on their cosmology and a link to early dark energy.\nLink: Zoom\nAnLy: https://sites.google.com/view/anlystringsandfields\n \n \nhttps://indico.in2p3.fr/event/34608/

SUMMARY:Le Futur Collisionneur Circulaire: Pourquoi ? Quand ? Comment ?
DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Christophe Grojean (DESY (Hamburg) and Humboldt University (Berlin))\nLe futur collisionneur circulaire se profile comme le prochain grand défi scientifique à relever. Why? When? The Future Circular Collider program is profiling itself as the next big challenge taken up by fundamental science. This ambitious program would be a unique opportunity to fuel the field of high-energy physics for several decades to come.  Be it for exploring the standard model with unprecedented precision or to search for new physics\, this machine is being designed with versatility and diversity at the heart of its multi-stage program. This presentation will aim at providing a snapshot at the current state of affairs. Emphasis will be given on the physics case\, particularly for the early stage with electron-positron collisions.\nhttps://indico.in2p3.fr/event/34934/
